Macklemore Cuts Ties with Ryan Lewis and Releases New Single

After a few days of anticipation on social media Macklemore has released a new song “Glorious” featuring Skylar Grey.

With the song release Macklemore also unveiled that he will be releasing a new album, and in doing so broke the news that he is parting ways with the producer that he gained so much popularity with, Ryan Lewis.

The two are in good terms, with Macklemore citing that they mutually decided that they were both in need of some “creative space”.

It will be interesting to see what differences the next album will have without the influences of Ryan Lewis. This new song sounds similar to the general sound and pattern that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis has had in the past.

Macklemore states that Ryan Lewis will have some annoumwnts soon, and it will be cool to see what kind of projects he works on after spending nearly a decade working with Macklemore.

Happy St. Patricks Day – Top Irish Music

Happy St. Patricks day to all those who are Irish, or want to be Irish today. Here is a list of the best of Irish music.

Best Irish Band

The most influential Irish band of all time definitely has to be U2. They have produced so many great songs over the years, and although they got slack from there free album recently, they are still legendary. Here is a link to my favorite song by U2.

Current Irish Musicians

Each of the artists below are listed in no particular order. These are current Irish artists, and each of them produce very chill, relaxing music.

Damien Rice

His most famous song 9 Crimes, has incredible emotion and features fellow Irish musician Lisa Hannigan with the female vocals.

James Vincent McMorrow

Has very calming, mellow music. Great for work or studying.

His track  ‘Take me to Church’ led Hozier to be a worldwide success. Other great tracks by Hozier include: ‘Someone New’, ‘Work Song’, and ‘From Eden’.

Best Irish Hip Hop Song

Although Macklemore is from Seattle, he sings about his Irish heritage in ‘Irish Celebration’. This song is originally from 2009, so it doesn’t get as much recognition as his newer material, but it definitely is an upbeat and fun Irish song with great instrumentals.
